Jaylen Bowens, a quarterback/defensive back at Tyner Academy, recently signed with Riverside City College in Riverside, California.
The Rams went 12-3 in 2017 and lost to Union City, 27-21, in the Class 2A state championship game at Tennessee Tech University. Bowens completed 26 of 118 yards and 16 touchdowns with five interceptions. He rushed for 587 yards on 105 carries and seven touchdowns.
Defensively, Bowens had 68 1/2 tackles, including 47 solos and one for loss and seven interceptions with one for a touchdown.
