Southside Creative, the marketing and advertising agency in downtown Chattanooga, celebrated their new office space and 10 years in business on Thursday with a ribbon cutting event held by the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. The new office, at 1206 Market St., is directly across the parking lot from the historic train depot, which Southside Creative shared for years with affiliate partner HHM CPAs.

The company’s two art directors, Casey Yoshida and Kacie Yates, took what was an old Region’s drive-through bank and converted it into an understated sophisticated office space with the help of P&C Construction and River Street Architecture. Their vision was a modern and vibrant workplace that encouraged organic collaboration throughout the day for the agency’s 10 employees.

The main entrance sets the tone with refurbished steel and floor to ceiling windows showcasing the chandelier in the buildings entrance. Inside, the space is filled with natural light accentuating the tall ceilings and raw details. A large picnic table stacked with design-centric coffee table books welcomes guests in place of a conventional conference table and serves as the office gathering place. Continuing with the farmhouse style design elements, the kitchen features open shelving, classic subway tile and butcher block counters.

"We’re thrilled to celebrate 10 years in business with our new office,” said Southside Creative’s founder Ronelle Sellers. “Moving into the newly renovated building has breathed new life into our work and has encouraged the team to collaborate even more frequently on our creative client projects. Our art directors, Kacie and Casey, have created the perfect place for the team to flourish and I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come and the current team we have in place.”

Officials said this studio of designers, writers, and marketers helps their clients create modern brand identities and memorable customer experiences. They have adapted their branding and design services to new mediums while implementing innovative marketing strategies keeping up with rapid advancements in technology and digital media. In addition to their branding chops, they now have the ability to create high definition video and photography, multi-platform public relations and social media campaigns, search engine optimization tactics, and much more. All of this progression has allowed Southside Creative to go from working with primarily local clients to working with businesses across the Southeast and all the way to the West Coast.
