Cheri Payne
Cheri Cox Payne, 69, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, May 25, 2018, after a nearly year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Cheri was born on Oct. 14, 1948, to Roy Sr. and Frances Cox.
She attended Brainerd High School and Middle Tennessee State University and retired from U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services.
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Payne; brother, Roy Cox Jr.; daughter, Melissa (Andy) Barber; son, Joey Payne; daughter, Charity (Jeremy) Greene; grandchildren, Christopher, Taylor, John, Daniel, Jake, Haley, Brantley, Riley andPraxton; niece, Stacey and nephew, Michael.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
