Mobile, AL -- While the Lookouts hitters put on a display of power-prowess with eleven base hits having six doubles and a home run, the pitchers matched it with eleven strikeouts in the 11-5 win last night in Mobile.
Chattanooga moved to second place in the Southern League's North Division, 2 1/2 games behind Jackson. The Lookouts and Generals meet at AT&T Field Monday night in the first of a five game series.
Randy LeBlanc held the BayBears scoreless over the first four innings, but then ran into a bit of trouble in the fifth. He gave up three runs over five innings and had five strikeouts. He earned his fourth victory of the year.
It was a big night for the Lookouts’ lineup. They combined to score 11 runs on 14 hits and drew nine walks. The biggest blow came from LaMonte Wade, who blasted a three-run homer with two outs in the fifth inning.
Chris Paul hit a pair of doubles, Edgar Corcino drove in three runs and Tanner English scored three times. Nick Gordon was 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and is now hitting .337 for Chattanooga.
Williams Ramirez gave up two runs in his two innings of relief. Todd Van Steensel was perfect over the final two innings and had three strikeouts.

Sunday in game five it will be first start for LHP-Anthony Marzi on the mound facing the BayBears RHP- Jesus Castillo. Game time is 4:05 p.m. and can be heard over 96.1 or at Lookouts.com.
Roster update: RHP Zack Littell was promoted to Triple-A Rochester. Littell threw six shutout innings in his Triple A debut.
