The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga hosted the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Terrell Owens on Saturday on campus at the McKenzie Arena.  Doors opened at 1 p.m. (E.D.T.) and the festivities began at 3:17 p.m.

The outspoken Owens chose to make his speech at his alma mater rather than at the official ceremony.

He was the first NFL Hall of Famer to boycott the induction rites.

In his speech, he was critical of the media selection committee.

Owens was a standout receiver for the Mocs from 1992-95 before going on to an illustrious career in the National Football League.  He spent 15 seasons in the NFL and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and a five-time All-Pro pick.  He is second to Jerry Rice in career receiving yards with 15,934, third all-time in receiving touchdowns behind Rice and Randy Moss (153) and eighth all-time in receptions (1,078).

Saturday's event was free to the public.
