Rain Barrel Distribution Day Will Be May 4

  • Monday, March 18, 2024

The Chattanooga Stormwater Division announces its annual Rain Barrel Distribution Day will take place on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Development Resource Center, 1250 Market St.

This initiative aims to promote sustainable water management practices within the community by offering residents the opportunity to purchase rain barrels at subsidized prices. Residents residing within city limits and owning their homes are eligible to purchase up to two rain barrels each at the subsidized rate. Residents living outside city limits are also welcome to purchase rain barrels, although they will not benefit from the wholesale pricing. Residents must be up to date on their Stormwater Fee to qualify.

The Rain Barrel Distribution Day is part of ongoing efforts to promote sustainable water management practices within the community. Rain barrels are a practical and eco-friendly solution for capturing rainwater, reducing stormwater runoff, and conserving water resources, said officials.

All purchases must be made online before April 28 by visiting https://www.rainwatersolutions.com/products/chattanooga
