Ruth Teague Kolwyck, 86, of Chickamauga, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Born in Tate, Ga., Mrs. Kolwyck was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area.

She was retired from Shaw Industry after more than 20 years of service and was a member of Temple Baptist Church for the past 68 years.

Mrs. Kolwyck was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Kolwyck; parents, John and Lila Belle Teague; sister, Martha Teague, and brother, Rev. John C. Teague.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Eason, Ringgold; Eugenia Patty, Lyerly, Ga.; and Susan (Rodney) Burgess, Rossville; son, Lamar (Peggy) Kolwyck, Ringgold; two brothers, Gene Teague, Marietta, GA and Allen (Shirley) Teague, Calhoun, Ga.; six grandchildren, Buck Parker, Michelle Clayton, Jennifer Kinsey, Aspen Salanco, Cindy Willingham, and Patrick Kolwyck; seven great-grandchildren, Jameson, Reagan, Elizabeth, Eli, Savannah, Jake, and Emma; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, with Rev. Phil Minter officiating. Pallbearers will be Patrick Kolwyck, Buck Parker, Jacob Clayton, Joseph Willingham, Scott Hughes, and Brent Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
