.-Supuschaya "Yui" Srichantamit used three solid rounds to claim the individual title of the Lady Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. She shot a 220 (74-71-75) to win the tournament. The Lee University women's golf team came in second place by two strokes in the tournament hosted by Lander University.
In another strong regional field, the Lady Flames third round was the second lowest round of the tournament. They shot a 298 in round three to help them take second place. Over the three rounds, Lee shot a 906 (305-303-298) and finished just two shots behind champion Wingate University who shot a 904 (298-295-311).
Limestone University shot a 295 (306-308-295) to come in third. Fellow Gulf South Conference member University of Montevallo came in fourth with a 911. Host Lander University finished fifth.
Behind Srichantamit, the next finisher for Lee was Banthita "Pearl" Phoncharartkun. She finished tied for third, just two shots off the top number. She shot a 222 (70-78-74). Hannah Nall came in tied for 19th with a 228 (80-74-74). Emily Ritchie was the fourth finisher for the Lady Flames coming in tied for 49th with a 237 (81-81-75). Hope Harrell was the final finisher for Lee was a 84th place finish. She had a 247 (81-80-86) over the three rounds.
The Lady Flames will have one more tournament before the postseason starts. They will take part in the University of North Georgia Brackets Challenge on April 8-9 in Homer, Ga, to wrap up the regular season.
