John Barry Hudnall, 80, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Jackie and his grandson Harley as well as his sister Sandie Howard and his parents, Judy and Jim Hudnall.

He is survived by his children, DeAnna Peak, Jimmy Hudnall, and Daniel Hudnall. Also by his grandchildren, Stacey Peak, Steven Peak, Skylar Peak, Michael Hudnall, Russell Hudnall, Hilary Smith, and Zach Hudnall and Brianna Sky. He also has other grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Gina Howard, Jerry Howard, Stacy Thompson and Michael Howard.

He served in the U.S. Navy on the Lyman K. Swenson and was a Vietnam War veteran. After his service in the military he was able to follow his passion for music as a songwriter and musician. He was a member of Gold Coast Band and Stampede and played locally and in Daytona Beach.

He was proud to have descended from the Hudnall family who were some of the carpenters who built and woodworked some of the historic houses of St Elmo. He was a St. Elmo Elementary student and later graduated from Central High School where he played baseball in his day. He will be missed especially for his sense of humor, his music, and well just everything about him.

Graveside services will be held at National Cemetery on Monday, April 29, at 2:30 p.m.
