Shulman Undefeated In High School Career As McCallie Keeps Rolling

Former UTC Moc Coach John Shulman remains undefeated at the high school level as McCallie kept rolling, picking up two wins on the GPS court on Saturday.

The Blue Tornado whipped Bledsoe County, 84-47 before running past Boyd-Buchanan, 75-38.

McCallie opened the Shulman era with a 30-point victory over Northwest Whitfield.

Talented sophomore Seth Clark scored 15 points in the Boyd win, while Tons Ferguson and Jack McEwen added 11 each. Adrian Thomas put in 10 and Alex Clark 9.

The Bucs stayed close in the first quarter, which ended 14-9. But the Blue Tornado surged to a 39-12 lead before closing out the half at 39-16.

In the third quarter, Seth Clark threw down a dunk, then on the next play had a spinning layup. That put a stop to a brief Buc flurry.

Boyd-Buchanan was paced by Chandler Covington's 9 and Paris Clarke's 8 points.

Against Bledsoe County, McCallie was again close in the first quarter at 21-19, then against surged in the second. The halftime score was 54-27.

McCallie was up 73-42 after the third quarter.

McCallie scorers included Adrian Thomas 15, Mac Hunt and Jack McEwen 10 each, Jordan Atkins, Cameron Watson and Tons Ferguson 6 each and Jonathan Hewitt 5.
