RISING FAWN, Ga. -- Shonn Weldon shot 69 Friday and took the first-round lead in the 2015 Chattanooga Men's Metro Amateur golf tournament at the Canyon Ridge Golf Club.
Tom Schreiner, Richard Spangler and Levi Nix are one shot back at 70.
Matt Crowder and Ryan Cannington Ryan are at 72 entering Saturday's second round.
Mitch Hufstetler leads the Senior Division at 70, followed by Pat Corey at 71.
The Black Creek Club trio of John Lambert, Hufstetler and Walt Moffitt won the Harold Lane Memorial team championship with a 63.
The tournament ends Sunday.
