Tammie Brock Rogers Hickey, 58, of Chickamauga went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept, 22, 2017. She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed singing karaoke, working with special needs children and was employed with the Walker County School System as a bus attendant. She was also active with the Children’s Miracle Network and the Ronald McDonald House for many years. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharron Rogers and beloved sister, Jamie Lucindy Pope.
Survivors include her father, Eddie (Karen) Rogers of Rossville; loving husband of more than 29 years, Ronald Hickey of Chickamauga; brothers, Clayton Brock of Rossville, Harold Brock of Ringgold, Jason (Cathy) Rogers and John (Darla) Rogers both of Rossville; sisters, Sara Sloan of Ringgold, Sandy Johnson of Chickamauga, Norma Rogers of Mississippi and Medley (Michael) Tapley of Rossville; Brenda (Mark) Wall, Barbara (Mike) Sullivan all of Rockmart, Ga.; lifelong friend, Tammy Durham and special thanks to her loving niece, Valerie (Paul) Stone; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. J. D. Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
