Dr. Holly Perleoni
Lee University’s Dr. Holly Perleoni has earned a Doctor of Business Administration in marketing from Anderson University in Anderson, In.
Dr. Perleoni’s dissertation, "Looks and Luxury: The Effects of Perceived Attractiveness on Women’s Luxury Beauty Purchases," is grounded in consumer behavior, evolutionary psychology, and intrasexual competition. It also studied the influence of a salesperson on women's purchase behavior of luxury products.
“Completing my doctoral research provided me with a deeper understanding of marketing," said Dr. Perleoni. “It is an absolute joy to pass that knowledge on to my students and play even a small part in their educational journey.”
Dr. Perleoni currently serves as director of graduate studies in business and assistant professor of marketing at Lee University. She has also taught and designed many classes such as consumer behavior, principles of marketing, and pricing theory.
Her works have been published in “Christian Business Academy Review,” the most recent being “Is it Harmful for Institutions of Higher Learning to Misrepresent Student Body Diversity in Their Marketing Materials?”
She earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in business administration management from Lee University.
