Leslie F. Ford, Sr., 80, of Soddy Daisy, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. 

He was a member of Straight Way Holiness Church. Leslie was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Bice Ford and his parents, Rev. Will and Elizabeth Davis Ford.

Survivors include his children, Donna Smith, Frankie Ford, Charlsie Bledsoe, Brenda Nose, JoAnn Smith and Lois Ciomei; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Aaron Simmons and Reverend Troy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Dodd Cemetery with Leslie Ford, Tracy Sims, Scotty Woodall, Cody Nose, Ray Essex and Lennie Myers serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation is Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
