Robert Carlton “Bob” McDaniel, 73, of Cleveland, TN, died on Monday night, November 10, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Bob was born on February 5, 1941 in Bon Aqua, TN to the late John McDaniel and Elsie McDaniel Brown. He was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. Bob was retired from the Manville Corporation in Etowah, TN. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his grandchildren and attending church with his friends.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Lewis McDaniel; one daughter, Dawn (Kristy Hutson); two sons, Michael McDaniel and wife Ashley and Bruce McDaniel; six grandchildren, Blake, Jacob, Cameron, Trae, Chessa and Tiffany; one brother, Ronnie McDaniel; one sister, Faye Vaughn; and numerous other extended family members, church family and special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, November 13 at 2 p.m. at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Richard McKeehan officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Ocoee, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, November 12 from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family request the memorial donations be made to either the building fund of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church or Cleveland State Community College Scholarship fund in Bob’s memory.
