Warren E. Boker, 85, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 in a Chattanooga health care facility.
He was born October 25, 1928 to Orvil and Alma Copeland Boker in Virginia, IL. He married Louise H. Wilson on November 25, 1947 in Peoria IL. He married Ina Stewart Trent in 2002 in Cleveland. Warren was a professional boxer in his young life and later retired from Caterpillar Inc. at Mossville IL., in 1993 where he was a UAW Committeeman. Warren attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Polk County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Louise and Ina; a son, Terry; a daughter, Karen; and two brothers, Dale and Harold.
He is survived by his step-son, Donald Wilson and his wife Linda of Chillicothe, IL; grandson, T.W. Boker of New Albany, IN; step-grandson, Bryan Wilson and his wife Julie of Peoria; step-granddaughter, Trisha Wilson Winters of Scott Air Force Base, IL; great-granddaughter, Alaina Boker of New Albany IN; great-grandson Caiden Boker, one step-great-granddaughter, Devon Winters of O’Fallon. IL; step-great-grandsons, Trevor Winters of O’Fallon IL., Dakota and Matthias Wilson of Peoria IL and Bradley Winters of O’Fallon, IL; brother, Rodney Boker and his wife Pat of Waterloo IL; sisters-in-law, Geneen Boker of Royal Oak MI and Sandy Boker of Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special caregiver, Melanie Whaley.
Per Warren’s request there will only be a private graveside service.
The North Ocoee St. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral homes has charge of the arrangements.
