Red Bank Swimmers Overpower Aqua Tigers,447-274

Taking a big bite out of the Cleveland Aqua Tigers for the second time this Chattanooga Area Swim League action Monday evening, the Red Bank Gators kept themselves in position to battle for the White Division crown. Increasing the previous 42-point margin of victory in Cleveland on June 12, Red Bank improved to 6-1 on the season with a 417-358 tally in its home pool. Although the Aqua Tigers (2-4) had more double-digit scorers (18-16), none posted a perfect score, while a trio of Gators — Benton Bilbrey, Adli Bowlin and Audrey Mayo — hit the magic 19-point tally. Lookouts Win Series Opener At Barons

Starting pitcher Zach Willeman made the most of his first start with the Chattanooga Lookouts Tuesday night. The 29 year old minor league veteran tossed five scoreless innings while allowing only three hits and striking out two. After Willeman's exit the Dodgers' bullpen was outstanding. Section Of Riverwalk Near New Stadium To Be Closed For "Transformative Upgrade"

A section of the Riverwalk near the new Erlanger Park will be closed for an extensive time while it gets "a transformative upgrade in the South Broad area." That section of the Riverwalk will be temporarily closed from July 14 through April of next year. The closure will begin just south of the Chestnut Street crossing to just east of the Chestnut Street Trailhead and parking lot. This closure will include the Chestnut Street Trailhead parking lot.
