The Salvation Army of Chattanooga Women’s Auxiliary is hosting their annual Ice Cream Social for the unhoused community.
"The Women’s Auxiliary is a group of dedicated volunteers who help further The Salvation Army’s mission," officials said.
The event will be held on Wednesday, July 9 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army of Chattanooga, 800 McCallie Ave. in Chattanooga.
"The Ice Cream Social is an annual event held during the summer to give the unhoused a place to cool off and enjoy the season.
It gives them something to look forward to during the hot days," officials said.
