"Located in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga, The Waymark will feature 148 beautifully designed guest rooms and suites, The Iris, a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city and riverfront, and The Vault, an intimate speakeasy lounge hidden inside the hotel’s original bank vault," officials said.
“As the opening general manager of The Waymark, I am excited to bring my passion for hospitality and leadership to this new venture in my hometown of Chattanooga. Growing up here, I developed a deep appreciation for the city’s charm and history, and I will take great pride in doing my part to bring this historic building back to life,” Ms. Helton said.
The Waymark occupies the historic 1927 Chattanooga Savings Bank and Trust Company building.
"This beautifully revitalized landmark blends local charm with elevated luxury. The Waymark is set to be a hub for both visitors and locals when it opens its doors in late 2025, offering vibrant social spaces and best in-class accommodations," officials said.
