The Covenant volleyball team picked up its first two wins of the 2025 season on Saturday, defeating George Fox and Pfeiffer on day two of the Covenant Classic on Lookout Mountain.
In the Scots' first game of the day they swept the Bruins 3-0, using a strong first set that they won 25-8 to set the tone. The last two sets were scored 25-15 and 25-20.
Kennedy Barber and Klaudia Beach each had seven kills to lead the offense in the win. Henley Gentry with 12 digs and Aubrianna Gerdes with 11 digs both had impressive defensive showings.
In the team stats, Covenant dominated in several categories:
Kills: 34-15
Aces: 13-3
Assists: 33-14
Digs: 56-40
Covenant earned another sweep in its final match of the day, winning 25-17, 25-10, and 25-17 in the three sets.
Cali Sandhoff stole the show with a triple-double, posting 14 kills, 13 assists, and 10 digs.
It marks the third triple-double of her career. She also had five service aces on the day.
Gerdes had seven kills while Kinsley Dupree totaled six kills as they also were key players for the Scots in the win. Gerdes posted an efficient .700 hitting percentage.

Covenant returns to the court on Friday at home against Transylvania at 7:30 p.m. on day one of the Coca-Cola Invitational.
