A Pocket Knife And The Howard/Brainerd Cancellation

  • Friday, August 29, 2025
I am disappointed that the Howard/Brainerd game has been cancelled.

Someone needs to step up and tell everyone why this happened. Otherwise, this could be done to any high school event at any school.

If this happens at some schools, there would be an outcry heard from afar. We can only suspect why. Give the public the reason.

The instance of swatting caused disruptions of several events on college campuses across the nation and here at UTC.

Recently, a teacher/coach was pushed so hard by the central office over having a pocket knife, he quit. What's going on? How many teachers carry a pocket knife?

Our rules need to be re-evaluated along with the results of teachers carrying a pocket knife - riduculous.

I can't described the rest of this story - it's too long, but the coach was well known and respected.
He had enough of the BS from the Central Office.

We lost a good individual teacher and coach over a pocket knife.

I am sure this was a money event for these schools and it will hurt them financially. So will the coach be hurt?

We all want safety, especially at high school eavents, and I, for one, want to know why, specifically, this game was cancelled - not just the because of concerns reason. That's just stupid in my humble opinion. I don't care about those who disagree so don't respond to me.

Send out the Central Office (there's plenty of em) like the teacher with a pocket knife and let them do their little deed to protect our kids and athletes. You wouldn't be able to find one with a search warrant. They just don't care about it.
