The Walden’s Ridge Civic Center on Signal Mountain was home of the Mountain Opry for over 40 years. There were continuous shows every Friday night until April, 2020.

The Dismembered Tennesseans performed on the stage numerous times, including several live WDOD radio broadcast. The bluegrass music show was featured on the ABC evening News with Peter Jennings in 1988. Members of the famous band were Fletcher Bright, Ansley Moses, Doc Cullis and Frank McDonald.

A few weeks after the national TV appearance, the Dismembered Tennesseans were back at the Opry with MC Frank McDonald breaking a guitar string live on the radio.

Click here to listen to Mr. McDonald as he kept his audience laughing while replacing the guitar string.
