UTC Women Golfers 14th Going Into Final Round Of Mason Rudolph Championships Sunday

FRANKLIN, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team kept it solid on day two of the Mason Rudolph Championships. The ladies shot 297 on Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course as no one let it get away, but no one was able to take it low.

Kera Healey led the way with a 1-over 73. Giulia Foresta added 74 to the total, while Carmen Belmonte and Makenzie Cooper each dropped in 75. Violeta Fernandez was right behind with 76.

Foresta is even par over her first 36 holes as a collegian. Her 144 total is two ahead of Healey who has matching 73s on the scoreboard. Fernandez is next overall with 151 followed closely by Belmonte (152) and Cooper (154).

Auburn leads the team leaderboard by two shots over the host Commodores. Ole Miss is third, five back of the Tigers. The Rebels’ Andrea Lignell tops the individual scoreboard at 10-under 134. She leads by two over a quintet of golfers.

The Mocs tee off at 9:59 a.m., Eastern time, starting on the 10th hole. They’ll share a Sunday stroll with Denver and Baylor. Cooper opens for the group followed by Belmonte (10:08), Fernandez (10:17), Healey (10:26) and Foresta (10:35).
