Karington Miner

Karington Mae Miner, 23 months, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, surrounded by her loving family.

Karington attended The Learning Center at First Cumberland.  She was a happy, vibrant little princess who adored hair bows, bracelets, and her many stuffed animals. She loved dressing up and playing outside, enjoying God’s creation.

She is survived by her parents, John Miner and Kara Johnson; grandparents, Steve (Poppa) and Deanna (Gran) Faulkner, Tom (Tom-Tom) and Angie (G-Momma) Johnson, Dr. Steve (Popeye) and Debbie (Dee Dee) Miner; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, including two special cousins, Brylee and Kinsley Faulkner.

Karington gave the gift of life through organ donation. We pray that her gifts bring as much joy to those who received them as she brought to all those who knew her.

The family would like to thank all who prayed for Karington during this time and send a special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the PICU of Erlanger Children’s Hospital for their loving care of her.

Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 N. Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37411 followed by a celebration of life service at the church. Burial and a balloon release will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
