Paul Jerome Benton, 82, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019.  

 

He was a member of Abba’s House. He worked as director of maintenance for CARTA Bus Lines for over 30 years.  After retiring there, he worked for Wal-Mart for 17 years in Soddy Daisy.  

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Verna Benton; brother, Herman Benton and sister, Maxine Shafer.

 

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Reba Maxine Hawk Benton; children, Paul Benton (Sheila), Greg Benton, Donnie Benton (Diane) and Cindy Ridge (Steve); brother, Robert Benton (Gwen); sister, Henrietta Lovelady (Lloyd); nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 9, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
