Maria Luz Sanchez
Maria Luz Sanchez, age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Maria was born January 11, 1963 in Morelia Michoacan, Mexico, daughter of the late Emilio Sanchez and Guadalupe Garcia. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Javier Sanchez.
Maria is survived by her son, Ulysses Sanchez of Dalton, GA; brothers, Juan Sanchez, David Sanchez both of Mexico, Ruben Sanchez, Abel Sanchez, Angel Sanchez all of Dalton, GA; sisters, Virginia Sanchez of Tennessee, Teresa Sanchez of Dalton, GA, Olivia Sanchez and Ofelia Sanchez of Mexico.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. with Father Abel Guerrero officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Jose Almodova, Daer Almodova, Adrian Sanchez, Rogelio Sanchez, Sabastian Sanchez and Sergio Hernandez serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 16, at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m.
