Senior defender Jeremy Bischoff was named to the D2CCA All-South Region First Team.
Lee men's soccer defender Jeremy Bischoff and forward Fabian Navarro were named to the D2 College Commissioner's Association All-South Region teams the organization announced on Tuesday. The teams were voted on by the region's sports information directors.
Bischoff, a senior defender from Hohenems, Austria, took home first team all-region honors as he helped anchor a backline for the Flames that gave up just 15 goals and a 0.79 goals against average on the year. Bischoff also made his presence felt on set pieces with two goals and one assist.
Navarro, a Dalton, Ga.
native, was one of the Gulf South Conference's top freshmen as he posted five goals and four assists, garnering a second team selection. The Flames finished the season at 13-5-1 and advanced all the way to the GSC Championship before falling, 2-1 to West Florida.
Omar Thali of the University of Tampa was honored as the D2CCA Men's Soccer South Region Player of the Year. The University of West Florida, the 2021 GSC Tournament Champions, led the region with three first team selections.
The 13 first-team honorees will now advance to the national ballot, eligible for D2CCA All-America honors. The announcement of the All-America teams will be December 7.
