David Thomas
David Thomas, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born Dec. 14, 1952 in Cairo, Ga. to his late parents Willie C., Sr. and Ophelia Thomas. He graduated from Dalton High School Class of 1973. He was a faithful deacon at Church of Deliverance, Dalton, Ga. He was a dedicated caregiver and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and drawing.
He is preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Thomas, Lizzie Mae Williford, Deloise Thomas Suttles; brothers, Lem Thomas and Danny Thomas; niece, Cynthia Laranda “Katie” Suttles; and nephews, Jermaine Thomas and Kelvis Rhodes.
He is survived by his sisters, Ernestine Hagans and Wilma (Raymond) Fouts; brother, Willie C. (Glenda) Thomas, Jr., George Thomas, Charlie (Margaret) Thomas, and Johnny Lee Thomas; brother-in-law, LeBron Suttles, sister-in-law, Norma Lynn Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Claud Jones, eulogist.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
