The Grundy County Republican Party is hosting its 10th annual Reagan Day Picnic this Saturday from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. CT at the Piney Creek Airpark in Altamont.
This year, the keynote speakers will be TN Secretary of State Tre Hargett and 12th District Public Defender Ted Engel. Grundy County Mayor Michael Brady will give a county update, and candidates for School Board, Constable District 3, and state and federal candidates will also have an opportunity to speak.
There will also be a special presentation of a posthumous award for recently departed Constable George DeMotta; all first responders are encouraged to attend.
Sarah Douglas will be the featured entertainment. Social hour starts at 11 a.m.; food will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at high noon. This year’s event will be at Wayne Harris’ hangar, 207 E Greenwell, Altamont, Tn.. BBQ and drinks will be provided; everyone is asked to bring a dish to share and a suggested $20 donation to offset election expenses.
