The Chattanooga Symphony and Opera will perform Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings Sunday, May 4, 3 p.m. at the Chattanooga State Humanities Building.

Review for the performance:

The evening of orchestral music will feature Douglas Hedwig’s Hymn and Dance, blending lyrical melodies with rhythmic energy. Next, enjoy Haydn’s Symphony No. 45, "Farewell Symphony," where musicians gradually leave the stage in a playful and innovative finale. The concert concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, a lush and emotional masterpiece filled with sweeping melodies and grandeur. This program offers a perfect balance of elegance, wit, and emotion, performed by the talented musicians of the CSO for a truly unforgettable musical experience.

Ilya Ram is the conductor.
