Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites the public to Castle Amongst The Clouds: The Story Of The Point Park Entrance Gate, a special one-hour, ranger-led program on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m, looking at the history of the Point Park entrance gate. This program will take place inside Point Park, atop Lookout Mountain.

The $10 entrance fee does apply to persons 16 years of age and older (children 15 and younger enter for free), unless one has the America the Beautiful Pass, allowing for the pass holder and three other adults access.

Officials said, "In 1904, construction began on what would become one of the most iconic cultural landscape features of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. The castle-like entrance gate to Point Park has greeted visitors from all over the world including former Civil War veterans, foreign dignitaries, and even Presidents.
