Ruby H. Peardon, 94, died on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at her home surrounded by her family.
The daughter of the late Ira and Mattie Chastain Henderson, she was the oldest living member of Guild First Baptist Church where she always had been very active. She was a former member of the Home Demonstration Club, loved to cook and was a great housewife, mother and Granny.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Manuel Peardon; sons, Jimmy and Clifford Peardon; grandson, Tim Peardon; five brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Brenda) Peardon Sr., of Jasper; daughter-in-law, Jane Peardon, of Guild; grandchildren, Ronald (Lisa) Peardon Jr., Josh Peardon, Wes (Becky) Peardon, Brittany Peardon, Eddie (Debbie) Peardon and Suzy Martin; great-grandchildren, Matt, Jennifer (Heath), Chuck, Mary, Alisha, Christa and Paisley; great-grandson, Kaeden Gruetter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. CDT Wednesday, at Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
