Pastor Johnson established Victory Living Word Church, a thriving church in Kawempe, Uganda, which is a Muslim community that is adjacent to Uganda's capital city, Kampala.
VLWC currently has over 3,000 active members, has established over 40 satellite congregations, and operates several businesses and outreach missions. They target to help groups such as mothers with children, HIV positive men, and orphaned children. VLWC operates a school open to children of all faiths. Its various businesses, from pigs and chickens, to tilapia and mangos, create jobs and profits to fund its ministries and have enabled the church to provide water wells to needy rural communities.
Pastor Johnson discussed how his church's creative ideas support life and hope in Uganda and support their ministries.
