Entries are now being accepted for the MainStreet Cleveland annual Christmas parade set for Saturday, Dec. 5 beginning at 6 p.m. "The annual Christmas parade is one of Cleveland’s longest running and most anticipated holiday traditions with many beautiful floats and thousands of twinkling lights," officials said.
“Mainstreet Cleveland is happy to announce that the Christmas parade is on as scheduled. In a year with so many changes and cancellations, it is exciting that this Christmas tradition will continue,” said Sharon Marr, Mainstreet Cleveland executive director.
Safety precautions are in place for parade participants and all spectators are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines including face coverings and social distancing.
The deadline for parade entries to be turned in to the MainStreet office is Friday, Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. After this date, a late fee will be applied. The final date to turn in applications is by noon on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
Departing from Bradley Central High School, the parade will travel north on Highway 11, east on 3rd Street, north on Ocoee Street, around the monument, south on Broad Street, west on Inman Street, south on Highway 11 and then back to the high school.
