David Braam Joins Tennessee American Water As Senior Manager Of Government Affairs And Economic Development

Tennessee American Water has named David Braam senior manager of Government Affairs and Economic Development for Tennessee. 

As lead for the Company’s legislative and business development efforts, Mr. Braam is responsible for economic development, legislative and regulatory strategy. Mr. Braam reports to Tennessee American Water President Darlene Williams. 

Mr. Braam has over 25 years of experience in advocacy, government relations and legal roles within the state of Tennessee.
He is a licensed attorney and has previously served as the director of legislation for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, legislative liaison in the Office of Governor Phil Bredesen, and deputy legal counsel for the Tennessee Bankers Association.

“I am proud to welcome David to our team,” said Ms. Williams. “David’s experience and skills in successfully achieving agreement among varying interests will benefit our customers and communities.” 

A native of Cleveland, Braam has a law degree from the University of Memphis and a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Georgia.
