Mary Nell Pickett Winfrey, 91, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, March 3, 2023.

She was born in Dutton, Al., to the late Mallie Van Pickett and Flossie Flora Wright Pickett, who preceded her in death along with her husband, Curtis Winfrey, her brother, Bert Pickett and her sister, Billie Jean Pickett. She was also welcomed to Glory by her dear son, Dr. Wendell Cameron and her precious granddaughter Mary Amanda Cameron.

She was a DuPont retiree who loved gardening, winning Yard of the Month on numerous occasions. She was passionate about cooking, cake baking, and candy making and loved to bless everyone she knew with home cooked meals and delicious desserts. She traveled extensively with the Skylarks and was an avid tennis player. She found joy in her many new friendships and activities at Garden Plaza.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Chip) Harbour, granddaughters, Wendy (Mike) Wilkerson, Elizabeth Harbour, Sissy (Brian) Shakley, grandsons, Cliff Harbour, and Josh Cameron, her great-grandchildren, Alexis Brown, Kaley, (James) Hughes, Garrett Radtke, Ava McBryar, Emma, Deuce, and Irons Harbour, Cameron Pannell, Selah and Caleb Shakley, and great-great-granddaughter, Austin Hughes, as well as her beloved Charles Montgomery. We all miss her greatly but our loss is her gain.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on her birthday, Saturday, April 15 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Garden Plaza at Greenbrier Cove in Ooltewah, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, at 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn.
