Lucy Denise Shipley, 35, of Chickamauga, died on Friday, November 19, 2004.

A native of Chattanooga she spent most of her life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. She was a graduate of Gaylesville High School and Northwestern Technical Institute. She was employed by K-Mart as a department manager.

She was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ where she taught a children’s Sunday School class.

She is preceded in death by her father, Calvin Shipley and grandparents, Rupert and Nora Shipley and Claude Murray.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Shipley, Chickamauga; sister, Janice (Mike) Morgan, Rossville; brothers, Kevin Shipley, Dalton, Michael Shipley, Flintstone; grandmother, Jessie Murray, Chickamauga; nephew, John Watwood, and nieces, Ashley and Brittny Morgan.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Minister Reid Perry and Minister Mike Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hutcheson Hospice, 100 Mitchell Road, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA 30742.

Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, (706) 866-5151.
