Issa Bass, Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Six Sigma Project Leader for Kenco Logistic Services, has written a book titled Six Sigma Statistics With Excel and Minitab.
The book is a complete guide to Six Sigma statistical techniques coupled with step-by-step exercises, graphical illustrations, and screen shots on using Microsoft Excel and Minitab.
Six Sigma is defined as a methodology that aims at creating near-perfect production processes; namely, processes that would yield no more than 3.4 defects for every million opportunity.
The objective of Six Sigma is to increase profits by eliminating defects and waste that result from variations in the production processes. While the primary audience for Bass’ new book is Six Sigma and quality professionals, because it is a comprehensive book that combines both statistical theory and software tutorials, college students are also finding it practical for research and education.
The book was published by The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. and is being sold through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, university bookstores and other popular bookstores carrying statistical analysis.
“Masterful!!!” said a satisfied reader. “I can safely say that I have bought and studied 37 Amazon bestselling statistics books. Not a single one of them comes anywhere close to Issa Bass' Six Sigma Statistics with Excel and Minitab.”
“This book is testimony to the caliber of employee we hire at Kenco,” said Gary Mayfield, Chief Executive Officer of Kenco Logistic Services. “It also illustrates the company’s strong commitment to Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools.”
