Hixson's Hannah Disterdick Crowned Miss Memphis 2013

Former Hixson resident Hannah Disterdick who now resides in Memphis, was crowned Miss Memphis 2013 Saturday evening by the 2012 winner, Cyrena Wages.  

Miss Disterdick, a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, will be making her second appearance at the state pageant where she finished in the top 12 earlier this year.  

Miss Disterdick completed her dietitics internship at Lipscomb University this summer and is employed by the Memphis City Schools where she promotes H.E.A.L From Within -- Healthy Eating Active Living.  

Miss Disterdick is the fourth area native to qualify for the Miss Tennessee Pageant joining Miss Chattanooga Dacey Winkleman of Winchester,  Miss Country Sunshine Maria Shepherd of Rhea County and Miss Fall Fest Madyson Foster of Cleveland. Current Miss Tennessee and former Miss Chattanooga Chandler Lawson will be representing the state at January's Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas.
