Vandy's James Franklin to Speak at Quarterback Club

  • Monday, April 29, 2013

Vanderbilt head football coach James Franklin is the scheduled speaker for today's Chattanooga Quarterback Club luncheon at noon at Finley Stadium.

The  cost of lunch is $10 and the public is invited.

Franklin led the 'Dores to a 9-4 record in 2012, matching the school record for wins (1915), and ending the season with the longest winning streak in the SEC, having won seven straight. It was Vanderbilt's longest win streak since an eight-game streak in 1948.

The Commodores capped the season with a 38-24 win over NC State in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

It was Vanderbilt's first bowl win since also winning the Music City Bowl in 2008.
