Marian Benola Walden Ramey, 80, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in a local hospital.

She was retired from the USDA Soil Conservation Office. She was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church and a former member of the Boynton Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Vickie Ann Walden, parents, William Marshall and Artie Lula Vaughn and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her three daughters, Carol (Brian) Metzger, Cynthia (Troy) Lea and Cathy (Jason) Gentry, sister, Virginia Jo Haddock, grandchildren, Mark Brown, Laura (Brandon) Pyle, Landon Metzger, Christen (David) Ellison and Madeline Gentry, great-grandchildren, Brody, Hadley, Emily and Parker and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Hutto officiating.  Burial will follow in Dailey Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
