Corine Barnett Cooper, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in a local hospital. 

She was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Dalton, to the late Harvey and Minnie Barnett. 

She was a member of Crosspath Church formerly East Ridge Baptist Church, and Immanuel Baptist Church of Pace, Florida.    

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Cooper, brothers, James Edward Barnett, Howard Barnett and Waymon Barnett, and sister, Mary Barnett. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Rhonda Cooper of Hubbardston, Ma.; sisters, Fay Donahue, of Chattanooga, and Betty Ray of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews and countless friends. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 10:30 a.m. in the East Chapel of with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. 

Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners’ Hospital.
