Gordon L. “Boot” Rich

Gordon L. “Boot” Rich, 93, of Dalton passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017. 

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Dalton Church of God. 

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Catherine Smith Rich; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Rich Colquitt and Chuck of Soddy Daisy; granddaughter, Amie Thompson and Brian of Sandy Spring, Ga.; sister, Betty Bunkley of Midway, Ga.; and nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. William Oogie Roberts and the Rev. Benny Roberts officiating. 

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Love Funeral Home from 12-3 p.m. 

The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorials made to one’s favorite charity.
