Signal Mountain and Hixson swept boys and girls tennis matches Wednesday

The Signal Mountain Eagles Boys defeated Red Bank, 7-2, and the Signal Mountain girls blanked the Lions, 9-0 at the Dupont-Rivermont Courts.

In 6-AA District matches, Hixson boys defeated Lookout Valley, 9-0, and the Wildcat girls won, 7-2.

In the marquee boys matches, Daniel Cox of Red Bank edged Grant Williams, 8-5, at No.1 singles, while Williams and Thomas Thelen defeated Cox and Gary Paradis, 8-3, at No.1 doubles.

In the best girls match, Jenna Riese and Catheyrn Trombley (SM) defeated Kayla Hash and Skylar Pilcher, 9-8 (2) at No.3 doubles.
