Theodore L. “Ted” Stansifer, Jr., 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2018, after a battle with cancer.  

He was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and the Local 43 Union of Plumbers and Steamfitters. He loved Tennessee Football and watching his grandchildren play sports and gymnastics.  He loved to go to the beach in the summer and the mountains in the winter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T. L. “Tater” and Louise Haskins Stansifer and one grandson, Ethan Underwood.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Liner Stansifer; son, Scott (Sherrie) Stansifer; daughter, Kim Stansifer Jackson; step-daughters, Cheryl Underwood and Kim Childs; five grandchildren, Austin, Cody and Ryan Stansifer, Kylie Stansifer McClure and Gage Jackson; three step-grandchildren, Addison, Preston and Brinley Underwood; and his pride and joy Katie Mae, his dog.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Reverend Gary Jared officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.  

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the funeral home.
