Edna Richardson
On the beautiful morning of Friday, August 23, 2019, the Lord called Edna Lee Perry Richardson home. Ms. Edna, at the age of 90 years young, gained her wings to heaven.
She was a lifelong resident of Whitwell, Tn. Ms. Edna was of the Church of God faith and she adored her Lord and Savior. She had numerous careers in her lifetime however, the one that she was known for was the Produce Barn on Highway #41 in Jasper, Tn.
Ms. Edna was a lady with many talents which included quilting, sewing, canning and working in her flower gardens. She adored and loved her family and she cherished each moment with her grandchildren. Ms. Edna had a heart of giving, loving, and ensuring all that knew her knew they were special treasures in her heart. She also loved spending time at the Senior Citizens Community Group in Dunlap, Tn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Richardson; infant son, Keith Richardson; parents, Johnathon T. Perry and Nettie Perry; and brother, John Perry.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Dwayne Richardson and Davaughn Richardson (Helena); daughters, Connie Sims (Donnie) and Shirley Johnson (Darrell); sisters, Virginia Wallace (Bobby) and Opal Guffey; grandchildren, Kristie Brown (Tim), Mitzi McEachern (Michael), Jimmy Johnson (Liz), Danielle Graham (Josh), Katie Mullins (Richard); Cassie Henry, and Carrie Griffith; 20 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 1-8 p.m. CDT and Monday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tn.
The funeral will be conducted in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. CDT with Pastor Dennis Bunch and Pastor Don Parker officiating.
Ms. Edna will be laid to rest at Sardis Cemetery in Victoria, Tn. following the service.
