Barbara Smith
Barbara Jean Smith, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in a local hospital.
She was a member of Oasis Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith; parents, Willie Jackson and Annie Thomas; and three brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Daryl Slate and Derrick (Erica) Jackson; daughters, Johonna Little, Kimela (Dyral) Toney, Yolanda Hudgins, and Latisha Osborne, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Barbara will lie in state on Thursday, Jan. 28, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Family services will be on Friday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Evangelist Michael Smith as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
