Vickie Kinser Varnell, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2021.

 

Mrs. Vickie was born and raised in Chattanooga. She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church and was currently employed at the Hamilton County District Attorney’s office as a secretary. Vickie graduated from Tyner High School Class of 1973, and will always be remembered for her infectious smile and loud laugh.  She was a devoted wife, mother and Nana who loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s band and volleyball events. 

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Kinser. 

 

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Robert Varnell; sons, Michael (Melissa) Varnell and Brian (Linda) Varnell; grandchildren, Madalyn, Emma, Olivia, Camilla, Trenton and Brooklyn; mother, Elva Lee Kinser; and uncle, Buddy (Linda) Stalcup.

 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Silverdale Baptist Church (7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421).  Funeral services will follow at noon at the church, with Rev. Tony Walliser officiating.  Burial will be private.

 

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist.  7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
