Jason Bryant King, 48, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Jason enjoyed an early career as a mechanic and eventually found himself employed at Advance Auto Parts. He was a tinkerer. Fabricating his own parts for his collections of Transformers and Legos, his creativity would produce one-of-a-kind models and figures which he shared with his children. His children meant more to him than anything. He worked his way from Florida to North Carolina and eventually to Chattanooga to be with them. Together, they would visit comic bookstores in search of rare collectibles. They also shared a love of music and animals. Kind and gentle natured, Jason's choice of pets reflected his heart. Strays never stayed strays for long if they happened to wander into his yard. He loved deeply and spoke plainly, but with conviction and honesty.

He will always be remembered by those he loved, including his children, Damien King, Kaiden King, and Jenna King; mother, Diane King and sister, Lisa Lane.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 9. Visitation will be at the Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 S. Moore Road, at 2 p.m. with funeral to proceed at 3 p.m.

Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1 Mt. Olivet Drive.
