Foundation House Ministries will hold a banquet on Tuesday, April 12, to talk about its efforts in helping mothers in crisis. The nonprofit provides financial, emotional, and physical support to mothers or pregnant women who struggle with addiction, homelessness, and joblessness.
Tickets are $45 and a table of eight can be sponsored for $280. The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m.
at Westwood Baptist Church, at 4001 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland.
Three graduates of Foundation House Ministries will speak at the banquet, recounting their stories of overcoming addiction, jail, and homelessness. The executive director of Foundation House Ministries, Suzanne Burns, says that 95% of her clients graduate a 10-week course. The program trains and employs the mothers to create and sell all-natural candles, soaps, and lotions in a shop owned by the nonprofit and wholesale to local boutiques.
Ashley Neer successfully completed the program and is currently employed by the nonprofit. She said, “I was living a lifestyle that solely consisted of addiction, incarceration, and broken relationships. I was at rock bottom when I became a client of Foundation House Ministries in 2018. I was introduced to a ministry full of unconditional love. I was taught how to forgive, heal, and create healthy lifestyle choices.”
In addition to the testimony from the three mothers, there will be a full catered meal. Burns says the dinner is an opportunity to dive deep into their mission. Ms. Burns said, “The banquet is called “Women of Worth” because it’s meant to highlight the powerful, purposeful, and passionate women that we work with every day. This program works and the proof is in the testimony of these thriving mothers who now have stable jobs, housing, and families."
Foundation House Ministries is asking that businesses or individuals RSVP to the banquet by emailing suzanneb@foundationhouseministries.org. If you would like to support the nonprofit by purchasing a ticket or donating, visit www.foundationhouseministries.org.
